Aunt Amy

Nora has now met both her uncle (Hendrik’s brother) and as of last week, her aunt Amy.

She is much enamored with her aunt as well. They happily tromped around the yard together. Nancy and I are glad she has such a great role model.

Comfy poodle

Orion has a hunter’s instinct, but for comfort rather than animal prey. If we’re making a bed and leave the down comforter on the floor…

The same thing happens with piles of laundry, pillows, a t-shirt, etc: he will seek out the softest spot and make himself at home. Killer instinct.

Hide and seek?

Nancy invented a new game to play with Nora: “hiding” under the baby pool.

Nora absolutely loves it. She’ll lift up the pool and laugh like crazy. Orion does not know what to think.

Apples for Nora

Our wonderful, delicious apple tree has started to produce a bounty again. Last year was more subdued due to a heavy and overdue pruning. The ripening crop has led to the discovery that Nora loves our apples.

With just two teeth, she is not really able to bite into them yet. But if I take a bite and let her taste the inside, she has a great time.
