Nora loves to be helpful around the house. She enjoys unloading the dishwasher, and will pick up clean silverware and deposit it in the drawer if carried back and forth.
Nora was also very keen to help her mother build shelves. She shuttled components around with great enthusiasm, sometimes in the right direction.

Nora is not walking yet, but she sure loves to climb things. Chairs, footstools, etc., if she sees a plausible target she gives it a try.
When she thinks she has done a particularly good job, she will clap for herself. We think it’s adorable. It does keep us busy to ensure someone has a hand out to catch her.

The rainy season started in spectacular fashion last night. As a good Portlander, Nancy got underway clearing out our nearby gutters.
Not pictured is the gigantic lake in the intersection right behind Nancy. As we were walking over, we saw another neighbor in his rain boots with a rake ready to do the same thing on the other side.

Nora has taken to imitating us recently, in terms of sounds and motions. This imitation is not limited to the human members of her family.
Nora will crawl into Orion’s bed. She even pawed at the mattress, just like he does. They are adorably becoming best buddies.
